Acrostic Poem

This is an acrostic poem I created in another Lesley class. I thought it went well with Assignment #4, so I decided to share it.

Social bookmarking is the practice
Of researching different bookmarks and then
Choosing your favorite ones, so you can save these
Incredible sites to a public Web site.
Activities like social bookmarking allow
Like-minded people to find one another,

By creating new communities
Of users who want to share information with
Others having the same interests. The bookmarks can be tagged with
Key words as each is saved which
Makes it easier to organize information
And categorize important
Resources. This provides an opportunity for individuals to
Keep going back to their favorite sites. There are many social bookmarking
Sites which include del.icio.us, Furl, Simpy and MURL.

  3. I think I might use this same idea to create a class acrostic poem on blogging. Therefore it can give them an easy way to remember our rules for blogging. Thanks for sharing.

  4. It really amazes me as we go throughout our Lesley program how much one class can relate to another. I am also amazed at how many things in my teaching practice I do now because of what I've learned with the master's program. While I already knew a lot about technology and use it daily while teaching, I'm happy to see how much I've grown as a result of being in this program. Nice tie-in from a previous course Carolyn!

  5. Good for you Carolyn! You did an excellent job with this. Everything comes back full circle. Like Kurt said, we have all grown during this master's program
in spite of our initial situation. Even though it is still a little scary, I am enjoying the overall process.
